Founder - Managing Partner

Abdelhak serves as the Founding and Managing Partner at Attalah Legal Consultancy. As a seasoned dispute resolution lawyer, he specializes in maritime, aviation, international trade, and business insolvency law. With an extensive track record, Abdelhak has successfully managed over 200 dispute resolution cases. Additionally, he is frequently sought after as a leading expert in UAE law for international arbitrations.

Abdelhak has been practicing law in the UAE since 2009, establishing firm roots in the maritime industries and acting as atrusted advisor to a range of CEOs, General Counsels, and shipping industry insiders. He uses his expertise to find solutions, negotiate deals and develop commercial trust.

Abdelhak is recognized by Chambers and Partners Global and Legal 500.

He authored the UAE chapter of Chambers Global Insolvency Practice Guide 2024, the UAE chapter of Chambers Global Shipping Practice Guide2025, and the UAE chapter of Legal500 Litigation Practice Guide 2024.

He was elected as a Supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association(LMAA) and listed as Evaluator on the LMAA Early Neutral Evaluation Scheme.

Abdelhak is member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL International), and has been also appointed member of the Host Committee of the International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA XXII) held in Dubai from 5to 10 November 2023.
